How long will it take? If the parties are in agreement, a dissolution of marriage can usually be completed within a month to six weeks.
How much will it cost? That depends on the county the action is filed in and the length of time it takes to reach an agreement.
How much child support will be paid? Illinois statutes set forth minimum percentage guidelines, i.e., one child = 20% of the obligor's net income; two children = 25%; three children = 32%. Net income is also defined by statute.
